While everyone else was busy checking cutoffs for their desired branches, I was sitting in my balcony searching the restaurants around, spent hours on Google Maps looking at the mouth-watering food Manipal had, made my bucket- list right away. Talking to the seniors, got to know that it'll be either FC1 or FC2 where you'll be spending most of your time for your meals and I was just surprised by their structures. You've seen it in pictures before you came here, but once you saw it, you couldn't take your eyes off it. The sheer width of these buildings look at you, as you walk past it's front adorned with curves. Never in my life I assumed this will be our "mess" for the next few years. Fun fact, Did you know that FC1 is shaped like a book? And talking about the food, being a FC2 member, I have no Idea about FC1 but the food here is really good, way better than what I expected. The smiles on the faces of Akkas serving food is unforgettable. I understand many people don't like it because of the repetitive menu, but well, don't you miss eating here now? Don't you miss those tiny quarrels you had while deciding who'll bring the glasses and the water jug? and searching for chairs during those crowded hours. After walking all the way around KC and back, the AC at FC2 is a boon. And Just as you walk out after a hearty meal, you're greeted by the vast Manipal sky above you. Sunny and scorching in the day and painted with mysterious colours in the evening rain. Your eyes immediately linger to the white and round shaped walls of student plaza, a place where you've spent your afternoons lazing and your evenings vibing. You know it feels amazing, you feel the warmth in a place that you now call home away from home.
Food court 2, often known as the best mess in Manipal is the only other food court in the
MIT Campus other than the original food court. Being air conditioned and offering
excellent food, FC2 which is situated right opposite to block 16 and 17 and very close
to block 14, 15, 18 and 19 is majorly attended by boys.
The ground floor has "The Indian kitchen" that offers a plethora of different dishes
that students can pay for while the upper floor is where the food which you paid for
along with hostel fees is served. The menu is usually really good and rotates every week
so it doesn't really get "boring". Students collectively screening "Ooooooh" whenever
someone drops any sort of utensil adds to the amazing vibe that FC2 provides!

The first post of 2022 and it has to be something special. I just can't think of any other
thing to post other than this world-class Paneer Tikka.
To simply put, one cannot find a better Paneer Tikka in Udupi-Manipal and DEFINITELY not
for this price and quantity. That's an open challenge for you guys! Paneer in total are
around 8-10 chunks and are bigger than usual. The marination is flawless! But wait,
that's not the only good part, in fact everything about this is inch-perfect. The mint
chutney is second to none and the ghas-phus as we did while having the tikka.
Ridiculously amazing for a ridiculously low price.
If you're a MAHE student, you're lucky as you can have it in the mess itself, since it
is located inside the campus. For others, you can find them online on platforms such as
Fatafat, eSamudaay etc.
